Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and
fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory ... that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others.
- Marianne Williamson
Have you ever done something
that made you feel particularly brave, sexy, strong, spontaneous, funny,
intelligent, compassionate, or beautiful? Have
you ever had a moment or a time when you felt you had truly outdone
yourself -- yet you knew at that moment that you had also been more
yourself than ever before? You Dared to be Fabulous!
Dare To Be Fabulous is a collection of stories from women on all walks of life, famous and otherwise, regarding their own daring experiences. What might be considered daring for one woman may not be so daring for another. What might be uplifting for one might be considered usual fare for another. Every woman is unique. The universal theme here is about daring under one's own personal circumstances. Dare to be Fabulous cheers women on through fear, inhibition, fatigue, or overwork.
Women of all ages are encouraged to submit their personal stories of joy, empowerment,
and transformation. There is no limit to the kinds of stories that will be considered.
The only caveat is that no person or living being was hurt either physically
or emotionally by your action. (After all, fabulous women would never
let that happen!)
Stories range widely in theme and subject, so we encourage you to read a few of our featured stories before submitting one of your own. In addition to our stories in print, we also welcome story submissions in audio and video formats.
Share your stories with us. Celebrate those experiences in your life. Tell us what you did and why it made a difference for you!
