Gloria Steinem’s* Op-Ed piece about Sarah Palin, the nominated Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, appeared in the Los Angeles Times on September 4th. 

Kamala Lopez’s* film,  A Single Woman, has been generating some great buzz. What a time for a film about America’s first Congresswoman, and peace activist, to hit the screens! From the website:

“A Single Woman is a film adaptation of the successful stage play about the life of Jeannette Rankin, America’s first Congresswoman and co-founder of the American Civil Liberties Union. Suffragist, peace activist, and reformer, Jeannette changed the American political landscape forever. Unabashedly political, occasionally chilling, and entirely unique, A Single Woman illuminates the role of the individual in the American legislative process.”  

Congressman Dennis Kucinich has arranged for this movie to be screened at the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
